The Man who invented the Lawnmover is such an inspirational little book!
Imagine living without air conditioning in the summer or a radiator in the winter, or even worse; life without potato chips! Christopher Davis Jr reminds us that many of these fabulous inventions had wonderful inventors; and they were all African-Americans! I actually took the time to read up on these gentlemen after reading Davis’ book, and I have to say, I stand in awe of what they had accomplished! Every child, young or old, would too!
The illustrations in this book are bright and colorful, and the information is well-explained and to the point. Davis’ book should be a part of anyone’s discerning library!
